Essay 2-03a: My language learning history

I started learning English when I was 12 years old. However, it wasn't the time when I was junior high school student. I started learning English when I was a sixth-year pupil. That study was a preparing for study English in junior high school.I started learning English in after-school lessons to supplement schoolwork.

A first English test was done when I was a first-year pupil in junior high school. A points of first English test was very nice points. I made mistake two questions only. I was very happy. However, whenever it tested, that points made fell. Once in a while, I took nice points of English test. My weak points of studying English are words, phrases and idioms. They had became some my weak points for three years.

When I was high school student, I studied hard English. For example, I studied English words, phrases, idioms, and grammars. My way of study English when I was high school student was answering many English questions and writing English words many times. Answering many English questions is taming for English. I heard that writing English words many time was very important thing by many teachers. We cannot know English words by heart by watching only.

When I was second-year pupil, I attend GTEC and society for Testing English Proficiency. They were very difficult for me. GTEC is a reserch test of study of English from high school students. A score of GTEC was about 450 points. It was good score in my class when I was high school student. A teacher said that points was nice. I attend society for Testing English Proficiency semi second class and second class. I could get a license of semi second class exam. However, I couldn't get a license of second class.

After I entered this university, I studied Spanish. I didn't know Spanish. It was my presure before study Spanish. I found Spanish was very hard language. In the start of studying that language, I couldn't understand it, but I could get that unit. I don't want to study another language of English.

This university have very good thing for studying English. For example, there are Power words, English Launge, many English DVD, and so on. It is too many to use all things which is had by KGU for studying English. I cannot use the purpose of that things. I want to use them for studying English. This university is very useful for studying English.

Essays 2-02b: Two Types of Robin Hood

We’ll talk about two types of movies, Robin Hood. They are Disney and a picture of an actual event.There are very funny movies.

We watched a picture of an actual event of Robin Hood. We had three favorite points of this movie. First, We liked battle scenes in this movie. At the end of this movie, Robin fought with Prince John with each swords. That scene is my favorite battle scene. Last scene of this battle, Robin won. That scene made our excited. It was so real. Specially, sounds of swords bumping against. It is one of my favorite scene.

Second, We like characters in this movie. They has each very strong personalities. They were very funny characters. Some different points of Disney’s and this movie were characters of this movie was all humans. Another, there were Arabian man. We think he is the best different point from Disney movie. He is a specially man and he is a very important person at this movie.

Third, We like a story at this movie. The tempo of this movie is very quickly. This movie was easy to watch. If you like action, you would like this story of this movie. This movie is very funny.

We tell you about one of the impressive scenes in this movie depicted an archery contest in the movie world. This movie was very good. Robin Hood changed another man. Robin Hood was a fox. Another man was a sea mew. But Robin Hood was very good archer in the world. Robin Hood was won in this a bow contest, but this contest was confused. Robin Hood was look like featival. He was very good.

The funniest scene in the Disney version was the one in which, we tell you about Princess John was crying in this movie. Princess John was became mother complex. We did not look a his mother. His mother was very kind to him. So his mother love to him. Princess John always sucked a finger, thinking of mother. This scene was very funny.

This movie is our favorite scene. We likes this movies. Robin hood was very good hero in the country. He was justiced so people really believe to him.

Essay 2-01b: My Hometown

My favorite place is in Nagasaki, the prefecture where I was born in 1991,12,13. It is my hometown, and there is my favorite place. I was born on a medium-sized island which is called Oshima.

Nagasaki has some fun places. Foe example, there are the Nagasaki Bio park and House-tenboss.


First, Nagasaki Bio Park is a zoo. This place is a zoo which is few and rarely in Japan. We can touch some animals. For example, we can touch many sized turtlrs, wallabies, capiballas, and so on. Another, we can feed many animals which are there. It is a rarely experience. However, it is so far from Nagasaki city. We must go there by car, bus or taxi, but that place is very fun place for everyone.  Children specially can be happy so much.

Second, House-tenboss is which a theme park is like Holland. There are big  windmills and cute tulips. It is beautiful. You will feel that I’m in Holland now, if you go there. We can buy many “One Piece” goods there. It is the largest One Piece goods shop in Japan. If you like One Piece, please go there and buy them. I think you will be able to be excited and happy so much.

There is thing only in Nagasaki. It is many and hardship slopes. Many slopes are famous in Nagasaki. There were some hardship to walk to walk on slopes. It is very hard. I don’t want to walk on slopes. Other, Nagasaki has streetcars, but it isn’t things only in Nagasaki. There are streetcars in Kagoshima, Kumamoto, and many place have, too! Many people who live in Nagasaki use streetcars. Streetcars are major vehicle in Nagasaki. When I was high school student, I used streetcars to go high school many times. A streetcars fee is cheap. Streetcars are very useful thing for people who live in Nagasaki. I think people who live in Nagasaki are the best of passengers who using streetcars in Japan. 

Nagasaki has many good foods. I’ll tell you about noodles stewed with meat and vegetables and sponge cake. Noodles stewed with meat and vegetables is a noodle dish. We call this chanpon. Many vegetables, meats, and sea foods are in this. Sponge cake is a dessert from Holland. It is like cake. Many people who live in Nagasaki sometimes eat it. Tha foods has good taste.

Nagasaki has many good things. For example, there are theme park, foods, rare things. They are too many things to all tell you. Please come to my favorite and home town, Nagasaki. You can make many good memories.

My favorite place is Nagasaki. It is my home town, and there is my favorite place.

I was born in there in 1991,12,13. I was born in Oshima in Nagasaki. Oshima is an island. It is a medium size island.

How are you? My name is Takahiro Yamasaki. Please call me 'Taka.' I'm a Japanese student and university student. I'm studying English now, but I can't speak English. I want to be a good English speaker in the near future. I'll use English for business in the near future.

I wear blackish red glasses. It is little expensive. My eyesight is very poor, because it this, glasses have thick lenses. It was so strong. Other people can't wear my grasses. I'll improve my ability of English grammar, speaking, and listening. I want to study more there. I think this stay is a starting experience, so I'll study hard.

I don't know about many things there, and I want to know many things which I don't know. Would you tell me many things? For example, I want to know history, culture, foods, and so on. If you told tell me many things which I don't know, I would become very glad, because I can know many things which I don't know. Studying English grammar, speaking, and listening is important, but I want to study about culture too there. While I'm there, please be careful with me, because I may feel culture shock. My heart is so delicate. Please be careful about my heart.

I like eating, but I have slender body, because everyone say I don't eat  much. I like meat and fish, but I like fish better than meat, because I like sushi and sashimi. Meat was cooked sushi, but they are few chances. But I like meat too. I like beef so much. My best meat meals are grilled slices of meat and a barbecue. It is very good  taste too. Please cook them! Other, I want to eat some vegetables. Health is the most important thing I think.

Traveling to a foreign country is my first trip so, but I had traveled by myself. I traveled to Sendai. I'm looking forward to going abroad and meeting you. I want to make friends with you and get along with you for long time. I want to make contact with you by e-mail and international phone. It is a valuable chance for me. I want to make this experience the stuff of my life. I may give you trouble during this trip. Please don’t get irritated with me. I want to make this trip a good experiences. My heart is beating fast, because I haven't ever went abroad and I'm looking forward to arriving in your country. Please tell me many things about your culture and English things. Mrs. Doubtfire is a moving story. There is a man whose job is an actor specializing in dubbing films and has a wife and three children. He has a son and two daughters. He failed his job and lost his job, but he didn't surrender and held his son's birthday party. He invited many his son's friends and a mobile zoo. A mobile zoo has many animals. For example, there are pigs, chickens, donkeies, sheep, and so on. It looks very fun. However, that was very noisy and gave many trables his neighbers. They spreded very big volume music, and animals ate beghbers's plants. His wife was angry for that things and divorsed with him. Parental authority for children was his wife's thing. He was very sad for separation with his children. It is a sad story.

I think this movie have two themes. It is love for the family and the importance of family's relationship. First, this movie is made about father and his children's are a good parent and children. In a part of his son's birthday party scene, he and his son was dancing to the music on table. They cannot dancing if they are not a good parent and children. It is a proof that they are a good parent and children. When I watched that scene first time, I was amazed that scene, and I thought 'What a good parent and children!' I wanted to make family like this family in this movie. I think the family is very important for still alive.

Second, I think this movie tells the importance of family's relationship for everyone that watched this movie. In a part of separation with his children, he felt very sad and regleted for separation with his children. I think he had to think I only had not to do those kind of things at that time. This is too bad thing for him. He lost his wife and his children. In short, he lost his lovely family. After, he was looking for his new job, but he did not look for his new job. I think that I might have felt the pain now probably because of the family that not is though the family in such time thinks that they might have become the support of his mind. I felt sad. I wanted to don't become same situation that is in this movie.

This movie tells very important things for everyone. I showed two things which I thought they are important things. I think this movie have any more important things for everyone. I don't watch all of this movie, I want to watch this movie more and I want to think about an important thing through this movie.This movie is very interested, because we can learn many good things that we are still alive.

This movie make us thinking about what we really need for our life. Please think about what we really need for your life.

I'll tell you about university life. First, I think that university life is the most pleasant life. For example, we can enjoy doing club activities. I'm joining in music club. My club have been performing latin music for 41years. Latin music is very pleasant to perform.

KGU have seven music clubs. There are latin music, jazz, rock music, modern folk music, mandolin, guitar, chorus in KGU. There are all wonderful clubs. It is possible to perform music with the people of other music clubs, and to play together if you join the music club.  The music that of each performs is talked, and for instance, it can eat meal, and it go to karaoke together

There are other kinds of not only the music club but also a variety of cultural clubs, societies, and Nautilus rooms in KGU.Relations in the club go to play somewhere very often together, eat meal, and go out for a drink together though are a separate clubs. A lot of numbers also of friends in another club increase, and therefore, club activities becomes happy and the exchanges other than club activities become very happy, too.

We can be concentrated things except doing music to another on my hobby, too.  For example, reading books, watching movies, playing sport, and so on. KGU have a very big library. It have three stories and very wide area. It is there to the cartoon, the newspaper of one year, the technical book, and the encyclopedia. We often exploit studying, writing reports of class, reading news papers and books, and so on. It is there to many DVDs of movies and videos. We can watch them in library and rent them until a day that should be returned. I want to use library many more. Library is very nice area. I want you to use it by all means because it noticed it uses for one year and it is convenient.

Other, you can go to play in many places with your friends. Kumamoto have many fantastic places, so it is possible to enjoy it most in the current lives. The Kumamoto castle is a very solemnity building. Suizenji park have a very big and verybeautiful lake. There are a lot of wonderful places and buildings that I have not known yet in Kumamoto.

University life is very pleasant. I will enjoy the university life together because it will lose the university life if it doesn't enjoy it.
